Service credit pull

Is it a soft or hard pull when I want to sign up with verizon for Internet and phone service and they run my social?

I'm not sure about Verizon, but with AT&T it's a hard pull.

You dont have to do a credit check. They'll ask you to send in a copy of your drivers license.

I recently signed up for Verizon home phone service . They wanted to do a credit pull . I told them no go either you do it without it or I'm not interested. I was a previous costumer of theirs a few years back so that might of been a factor.They said its only a soft pull.  long story short... Checked my credit it was a hard pull. Called up fought it and had it removed.

But a word of caution Verizon Home Phone Service is a huge!! pain to deal with.

i had a pull from sprint and clearwire all shwed as a moderate pull

I have used it and according to me it is soft pull Verizon but hard pull with AT&T.

In October I set up an appointment with Verizon to install service. I ultimately cancelled the installation before it was even done, but now I noticed that there is a hard pull from Verizon on my CR (at least on Experian, dunno about others). Is there anything I can do about it?
