The question is, who is going to schlepp out there with nothing in the area.
Its Siget, Many ppl visit throughout the year also they tried saving the lot of the old shul

Its been a while since they started this campaign

The yahrzeit of the Kedushas Yom Tov is on Thursday, the 29th of Shevat, February 3. A delegation of 350 chassidim will be accompanying the Satmar Rebbe to celebrate the yahrzeit. This is the third time since World War II that a large group will be there for the yahrzeit and the first time since it came under Jewish control. The group will remain in Siget for Shabbos Terumah, February 4-5. A highlight of the trip will be when the Rebbe sets the foundation corner stone for the rebuilding of the beis medrash.

It's always hard to reach, because it's so far out, near nothing. There was never an oilem on any of the Youhrtzeiten, due to that, especially when a Youhrtzeit is Friday or Sunday, most people can't make it on the day of.
Building a shul, kitchen and eventually a הכנסת אורחים will potentially attract a larger oilem.
