There isn't anyway to stop someone from taking a picture of a picture. I don't think this will solve the problem completely but will make people feel comfortable that their picture isn't being passed around.

Once something is online in any format it's there to stay. Period.

Anything that's shared "once" or in "only one group" shall always be assumed to be shared way more than that.

Yea, I was referring to this specific situation. I haven't heard of shidduch pictures being forwarded around, and I don't know that it's the reason people aren't sending shidduch pictures. But I'm out of the loop here, so who knows.

You're not everyone. Also, fear is irrational and just because someone projects a fear doesn't mean the fear is valid.

Its not being abolished. It became the norm and is just getting worse!

It's a symptom of a broader problem, the focus on externals, but it's also a significant problem in its own right. It will take many people simultaneously taking a strong stand for the honor of our girls to stop this.

Ok, so get with the program. This is not done in certain circles for a reason. If everyone (85%+) agrees that this system is a disgrace, then just put a stop to it.

there are programs that protect content from screenshot
but I don't think that's feasible in browser-based sharing

ETA: screenshotting not necessary here image can be copied/saved as a regular image. meh
