This has go to be the craziest question ever
I know someone that was asked about a boy, they wanted to know “what would he do, if he was walking in the desert and came across a dead body”.
I was talking to the person that was asked this question and we were debating what the questioner was trying to figure out. We couldn’t figure it out.
Some options were
a)would he walk by and pretend he never saw anything and leave it for the next guy to worry about
B)would he do the right thing when no ones looking
C) would he freak out and faint?

Your thoughts

Somehow reminds me of this one:

Test to see if you're a real photographer

Imagine you're walking through a forest and you come across a perfect scene: an idyllic lake surrounded by perfect meadow, mist rising off its surface, birds chirping... but there's a man drowning.

You could only choose one: take a picture or save the man's life.

What lens do you use?

I feel like this is one of those dumb brain teasers.

Q. What would he do, if he was walking in the desert and came across a dead body. And the murderer was now coming towards him.

A. He would use the mace to fend of the attacker...
Reminds me of an experience that someone told me:
He was suggested someone that wanted him to fill out a questionnaire before they went out.
One question was to the gist of: if someone was an immediate life threat to someone in your immediate family, would you kill them?
And if so, how?
He answered yes, with my hands :)
He said they went out 2 or 3 times, after which she told him that her parents got engaged after going out that many times.
He said "well I'm not ready" and that was the end of that.

#1 - a friend of mine was asked this question when he was dating
Um, without getting too graphic or devolving this conversation further, can you say how/what he answered?

I don't recall what (or if) he answered, He asked them why?  I assumed that it had to do with reproduction (there was an article that had come out around then that said briefs reduce sperm count), but he was told 'Boxers are more yeshivish'

R' Reuvein Feinstein was once speaking to a group of talmidim who were all dating for at least a little while. He asked them what they talk about when dating, most of them answered that they talk about the "important" things like hashkafa etc. He asked if any of them discuss if they squeeze the toothpaste tube from the bottom or the middle, and most of them laughed like it's a funny joke. He then told them that these are the important things to discuss because these are the things that can ruin a marriage.

A few years later one of those boys went over to R' Reuvein to tell him that he saved his marriage. He had gotten married and he is the neater one in the house. One day he comes in and things are pretty messy and he was upset about it, then he walked into the bathroom and stuff were left out all over the vanity, then he sees the toothpaste squeezed from the middle. He was about to throw a fit and he remembered "the shmuz" and burst out laughing...

This was one of the things that annoyed me in the first few months of my marriage - DW is a middle squeezer, I roll it up. The early marriage compromise - we got a pump.

I just reread the post and I am relieved to see that I may have misunderstood it.

I thought the friend was asked while dating, as in ON A DATE. Hence my post.

But now I think the OP meant while dating, as in while in the parsha, meaning before the date. BH.

Yes, he was asked this by a shadchan

Clearly a litvack.

In the chassidisha world the options are Rashi's, Rabbeinu Tam's, or Mar Zutra's.

Can we have an illustrated or photo dictionary? I never heard of Rashi and Mar Zutra in this context (though I can imagine the meaning).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Nowadays this question can be asked of any teenager (or non-teenager) with a social media account.

Is it ever a reverse situation where the husband is a middle squeezer and the wife squeezes from the bottom?

It really comes down to this:

You aren't finding that out in 5-10 dates anyhow. The whole dating thing is overrated. Either you put proper effort into your marriage and the dates are barely needed or you don't and they barely help.

Yes, me. But we "like" different toothpastes anyway.

I honestly can't imagine a middle squeezer actually caring much to have a different/specific toothpaste. I guess you live and you learn.

Or just buy 2 tubes. It's cheaper than a divorce lawyer, anyways.
