Not sure about NYC but in Chicago the waitlist for firefighters is years long.

No he would not. Under Reagan ATC was not allowed to strike but they did it illegally. Reagan would be abhorred by the current vaccine mandates which puts people on leave for political purposes.

My SOL brother just graduated with being on the waitlist over 2 years. I will take him to save my life over any 20 year veteran.
