Per this PDF, 65+ is 12.2 deaths per 100k population (not per 100k cases), so age 52 is likely lower than that, not sure by how much. For some reason this PDF is missing the <65 numbers in that particular chart.

Interesting to note that that 12.2 figure is over a relatively short period of time, roughly four weeks.

He might have had significant comorbidities. Either way, I don’t have a problem with being against mandates and don’t fully see the irony. I get that it’s a catchy headline though.

If he was unvaccinated, anti vaccine, and anti mandate because of that, then the irony stands. But I don’t know that to be the case.

Any reason antibodies infusions is not used to treat patients all over the US? Shouldn't that prevent hospitalizations and death in most people?

I am for anything that works in reducing catching it in the first or reducing to risk of dying.

You mean monoclonal antibodies? Those don't seem to be very effective against Omicron.

If you're asking about why they didn't offer monoclonal antibodies to anyone who tested positive regardless of risk factor, I would assume it was so they had supplies for those most at risk for complications.

This isn't just true for COVID, compare life expectancy in the first world to the third world, a lot of that is attributable to healthcare.

I didn't see a scientific source, but read it multiple times in "reputable" media sources and Hatzalah's letter mentioned it as well.
