Then they can afford to lose some anti vaxxers due to vaccine mandate. They have well more than enough applicants to replace them.

Regardless, I don't see a reason to believe that their job openings changed drastically in a short time period.

So ıthe staff shortages were a problem, but flights weren't affected until today, when bam! All of a sudden there just weren't enough staff to fly at all

Well, keep in mind how the number of flights had been much lower than they are now.
