I don't think it will come to this, but it may have the ironic consequence of pushing republicans in favor of increased welfare/unemployment/socialized medicine.

To support all the ppl that would rather be unemployed or in a hospital bed than take the damn shot.

The issue isn't so much the personal decisions people make or how strongly they feel. The issue is with how much FUD and fake news they spread about vaccines and COVID, and the vaccine hesitant are guilty of this as well. Many people are needlessly getting sick because they were convinced by fake news.

What they need to understand is that the question is not whether you should take the vaccine or how bad the side effects may be. The question is do you want the vaccine or do you want COVID. There's no other options, as you can and will get COVID repeatedly as long as you don't vaccinate.

Yes they screwed up on the story but that doesn't change what really happened.
Should be easy for someone to to see what the sick leave was for this period compared to the week before.
While the union is not going to say it was an organized event they would have no issue saying sick leave was up. They said it wasn't.

Delta Air Lines is ditching a vaccine mandate for employees, according to company CEO Ed Bastian, who notably emphasized the “divisiveness” of such an order.

Bastian said announcing a plan to get all employees vaccinated, without enforcing a mandate, has worked, allowing the company to reach a 90% vaccination rate.
