how to back up broken iphone

iphone x got damaged in water, screen is black and when connecting to computer the iphone is not recognized probably because i cant trust the computer by putting in the phone code, but maybe the phone is really broken, although when i put the phone to vibrate with the slide button on the side the phone does vibrate and when i slide up on the screen it also vibrates... theres alot of pictures on the phone that i dont want to lose... is there anything i can do to get them? any help would be appreciated!

Log in to ur iCloud on a computer. photos and contacts shud be there.
If you have google photos try there too

forgot to say that alot of pictures were not uploaded to my icloud as i  reached the maximum...

Try changing the screen, since it responds to the vibrate command it seems that the main components are ok and only the screen is damaged.

I don't really know how iCloud works, but if you download whatever is on iCloud and then delete it, would new photos be automatically uploaded now that there is available space?

I would suggest you get google photos which gives 15gb free space and can upload in high quality until June of this year after that it’s capped at certain amount I think.
Point is google photos keeps pic safe and not rely on ur device

I had same issue with Xs, I thought these phones are water resistant it’s not like I dropped it In water
