Yankel Miller once told over a story about a bneshek (rebbish einikel) who borrowed money, and right away Yankel Miller moved on to next joke, the audience interrupted him that he didn't finish the previous story about the bneshek who borrowed money, to which Yankel reponded, "Oh, that's the end of the story".

Got this for Rafi. Sums up a year of frustration about this poorly run organization and their support for Anash Kinder. Which is a shame as Rafi loved learning about all the mitzvos and their halachic minutiae, which is a massive black hole in Jewish education.

i was working with a number of boys this year who were learning for chidon and they had a great experience.
maybe there is a difference working with them directly or with a school...

I don't think Dan is saying it's bad for the kids per se, but disorganized for parents and out of towners.

Have you contacted the organizers? My daughter chose not to do chidon, so I have no skin in the game. But I've seen complaints on a numbers of groups and forums, and I'm wondering how many people sent their constructive comments to the organizers. Don't get me wrong, I'm not all that confident things would change, I'm a former employee of the organization that runs it, and unfortunately passion, good intentions, and selfless dedication and devotion don't always translate into professionalism and efficiency.

@e-Lawyer has given lots of constructive feedback about Anash Kinder, but I don't think it has changed a thing or that anyone is listening to him. I guess I should as well.

Meanwhile instead of a Shabbaton, they're still using COVID as an excuse for no Shabbaton? So Rafi and other Anash Kinder need to miss 3 days of school as the trip is smack in middle of the week and starts and ends too early and late in the day to fly in or out on the trip date. There's just no respect.

I don't know why I get so upset reading these. I haven't worked there in more than a decade, but my proudest work is probably what I did there. I'm not sure who e-lawyer is and what his suggestions are. But if still speak up and encourage anyone you hear complaining to do the same.
