We start saying kapitel קכא and we use the opportunity to do more of what he told us to do.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I'm not quite sure what you're asking in the OP or referring to in the follow up.

If you learn the Rebbe's Torah, you find that every day has special significance. Each Yom Tov that came around was the most important Yom Tov of the year. Every anniversary, be it a birthday, Yahrtzeit, chag hageulah, or other was a uniquely special day that needed to be taken advantage of. Every milestone has special significance. 20 years, 40 years, 70 years, 100 years, etc.

So shnas 120 is a momentous day with huge significance. No chassid would want to remain the same, but to improve in any number of areas.

As for climbing down trees, I've never heard of that mivtza.

120 is the age it's accepted man can live until. I think that has significance for those that hold he is alive.

I guess thats an option too... What I'm saying is if some of them might be lookin for a somewhat graceful ending maybe this would work.

Your question isn’t relevant, either people don’t see things the way you think they do, or they don’t value what you consider somewhat graceful. But thanks for the suggestion in any case.

In the spirit of this thread I'll answer plainly that the Ibn Ezra holds no such limit of 120 exists and its a misunderstanding of a pasuk that lead to this thinking.

So, it's a completely moot point and no relevance to that topic.

If (please Hashem - don't make us wait that long) Mashiach hasn't come by then - what will happen in 30 years, will you start Tehillim again with Perek Aleph or just stop saying it altogether?

Same as they've done with the previous Rebeim.

Pretty sure Dan's posted our Grandfathers been doing that for a while for The Previous Rebbe.

Yes, start at 1 again.

So do Chabadniks say 8 daily Perakim, one for themselves and 7 for all the Rebbes?

What in jj1000’s post makes you think so? He specifically said:

we say one for the rebbe and around 7 for the day and we encourage not just Lubavitchers to say the days tehillim as well, which is compared to bringing a korban and brings many brachos.

Is celebrating the Rebbe's birthday a thing amongst all Lubavitchers? How about the birthdays of previous Rebbis?
