Very cool. Although not up to date. They just built one in Baltimore on Park Heights Rd (between Clarks and Clarinth). It's not listed there.

Yes. More accurately, it is a Chabad center. It is a girls' school.

https://anash.org/how-many-770s-are-there/

Few (if any, other than Kfar Chabad, and even that one isn't 100%) were built as replicas, some copy some external features, and some can at best be described as "inspired by" some 770 external features.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

If I may ask, 770, "The house, in Gothic revival style, was built in 1920, designed by Edwin Kline, and originally served as a medical office." The house was surely elevated with kedusha later when the Rayatz moved in. But what's the idea of replicating the gothic style designed by a goy with no Jewish meaning to it?

I would imagine it’s a nostalgic sentimental thing and not of profound religious significance. Then again, those who are בפועלs are more qualified to answer this.

We also sing Napoleon's march at the holiest moment of the entire year.

I'd imagine it has a similar reasoning.

How would you explain the reason for that?

No, this is something else, they intentionally adopted this song as it was the case with other songs in chassidic courts. The reason for that was a kabalistic one they were elevating l'tzad h'kedusha songs they deemed fit. I don't see how this is applied to 770.

Found this on Google https://forward.com/culture/474642/how-770-eastern-parkway-chabad-lubavitch-rebbe-schneerson-history-jewish/

Has explanations from it replaces the Rebbe, to it's to remember the Rebbe, to it's a beis moshiach, and more reasons.

ETA: According to the article The Rebbe had the one in Kfar Chabad built, but gave no reason.

Is this a serious question? Or is this a pun or something that I can't figure out?

It is serious. I’m under the impression that there were images displayed from Chasidish schools that had pigs colored over. Is this accurate and why would that be?

Have you ever heard of pregnant women avoiding zoos and looking at any animals that are not kosher?

There are a two things here, using language, such as saying "davar acher" instead of the name of the animal, which traces back to the 5 books of Moses, (einenu tehorah) and showing pictures of those animals to kids. Both of these the Rebbe spoke about, and I'll try post links when I get some time, bl"n.

The Rebbe's use of positive language was way more hmm just for non-kosher animals. Telushkin wrote about it in his biography, perhaps someone can post images.

Sure. I don’t think a picture is at all comparable to effect of being מסתכל at the real thing.
