3rd day?

In some Chasidishe communities they celebrate the fifth night in honor of the release. I was wondering what the story is.

C'mon you are going to ask why Amshinov celebrates 2 days after the release?

I thought this was obvious by now...

Well it’s actually Bobov I’m talking about and they “specifically” eat dairy the fifth night. The Rebbe is a descendant of the Baal Hatanya.

Why dairy?

Why does Today's Hayom Yom say the Rabbeim used to give Chanukah Gelt on the 4th or 5th night, what's special about those?

Fleishigs might have been scarce/cost-prohibitive.

My impression is that you would not say this regarding something done by the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

We have many minhagim because of things being too expensive. That is a legitimate reason offered for various things.

For example not wearing a streimal.

What Reb Sholom Eliezerl's Rebetzin served at her dinner became a minhag in Bobov? Interesting.
