Gebrokts wouldn't be allowed on Acharon shel Pesach had it been more than a chumra, no doubts on that. A better question would be machine matzo vs. CS

Preshburger Rov escaped the Nazis and wasn't in Auschwitz, the amazing story was likely with another גוטער איד.
I thought something did not make sense in the story, thanks for clarifying

There is a fascinating ישמח משה explaining why a צדיק is allowed to be moser nefesh for other than the ג׳ חמורות too;
The Rebbe famously argued with a rov during the war if he was allowed to go on mesiras nefesh to obtain an esrog, and the Rebbe did not let him "pasken" that it was ossur. That night the Rebbe disappeared, crossed the border and returned with an esrog.
Iinm there is a kesef Mishna that discusses this

Do the machmirim eat machine matza שעבר עליו פסח?

Also is CS a חשש דאורייתא? ;)

Old question but don't remember exactly. Obvious reasoning would be there is no קנס for those keeping it while being somech on the matirim. If a Sanzer chosid kept it in his house during pesach, there we can say torah.

Yes :P  :D, but since you're already asking on CS, here is something I came across yesterday. (אות נ׳)

Does anyone that won't use processed products on Pesach, then use then on the 8th day? Would seem to be the same logic as gebroktz?

There are communities where they are meikil in general on acharon shel Pesach (such as regarding mishing) however in the sicha about gebrokst the Rebbe says that the only area the Rabbeim changed from the rest of Yom tov is gebrokst.

Of course, there is a special inyan to mish on Acharon. This is brought down in earlier seforim. In Sanz the whole town would bring kneidlach to the rov which was served with the soup at the tish. (Later in Bobov there was an incident where they found a white kneidel ball too ??? so they stopped that.)

If you learn the sicha you'll see that its not.
In fact somewhere the expression is "although it was difficult".

What's the reason ע"פ הלכה  to be lenient on Acharon about something that's a חשש דאורייתא?

To show it isn’t אסור according to the strict letter of the law and is only a stringency. The last day is certainly only מדרבנן so stringencies aren’t as crucial.

ETA see רמ״א תסז סעיף ח ומשנה ברורה ס״ק ל.

Does the same logic apply to all Chumras on second days (of other Yom tovs too)? They should be allowed since it's only מדרבנן?

Technically speaking yes. So for example many will end YT at a earlier time for the second day. I presume it became more of a “thing” by pesach because of the food angle, which the שולחן ערוך הרב invokes עונג יום טוב for.

Also pesach has much more chumros that are really only a חשש בעלמא which is due to extra stringencies in regards to chametz. These level stringencies aren’t  applicable by other yomim tovim because we wouldn’t go so far in the first place in regard to the beginning of YT either.

I believe it is explained as a way of showing that those who do "less" than you are not doing anything wrong. That is especially relevant on Pesach where there are so many disparate minhagim.
Nice pshat but doesn’t sound like it from the מהרי״ל which is the source of the רמ״א in תס״ז.

He gave the famous pshat al pi chasidus and he's actually right, the זרע קודש actually says that.

Great but the question was
What's the reason ע"פ הלכה[/i]
So he is not:
actually right
