That way after 120 I'll have what to defend myself with.

Since when do Lubavitchers care about after 120? Or about defending a מעשה טוב?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Worried, no.
But that's an excuse to not keep fighting the good fight?

keep fighting, it will eventually change with the new leadership (whenever that happens), in most places they put a vaad in charge instead of dictator having full control

There is a new Pharaoh, and somehow he is even worse than the old Pharaoh. Unreal.

Where do they have a vaad and how did that come to happen?

how did that come to happen?

People died. And a vaad is not a cure all. Not in the slightest.

Mind you, new Pharaoh was my bunkmate in zal. Honestly, I'm just flabbergasted.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. So sad.

A true factory of sadness.

Started my day studying V'yiten lecha 5728 with @Jolu, learned today's Tanya, davened, got an aliya, read Hayom Yom/Sefer Hamitzvos for the shul, learned perek mem tehilim, bought and made a shehechiynu on a persimmon, spoke to a local shliach and rov about how to go about bringing down a new shliach to town.

See what happens when you attend rallies with 300,000 united Jews and do mivtzoim there! Hashem yeracheim!

My my. You sound like the ultimate date. Chassidish but with it. Gevaldig.

When should a shliach be stripped of their title?

Is there any official guidance to when a shliach should no longer be under Chabad?

If he eats chalav stam?

Shaves?

Doesn't consider himself a chossid of the Rebbe?

etc.

Do any of these matter, is it just a political appointment anyway at this point in time?

If he answers yes to the last question, he should definitely be stripped of his title

I guess that's why I'm not a shliach :P

It's often nepotism these days, no?

When The Rebbe was actively sending people into established cities, it meant something, but now it's just families keeping it from others. How is that not a "political" appointment? Perhaps it was the same before gimmel tamuz also I just don't remember.

Maybe there’s an aspect that’s “political”, but that wasn’t the question.

Ask the "old pharaoh" what the Rebbe wrote to a gvir in his area that gave money to pay off a mortgage but they used the money for other stuff and was really upset (I don't think that gvir gave again to chabad)

I don't remember the exact words of the letter ,but the Rebbe basically said that when they do stuff like that there not representing him

Depends how much money they bring in, there's a shliach that shaves but he has the money

Honest question: Why wasn't the Lubavitcher Rebbe asked to join the Moetzes? Or was he asked and he refused?
I know Rav Shach was against the Rebbe, but wasn't that much later in life? Why wasn't the Rebbe asked to join in the '60s or '70s?
