Why do my thoughts matter?
Probably most frequent quote from you over here is "what's a lubavitcher"

This concept would dictate what, in our specific discussion?
That since the Rebbe learns (that according to the alter rebbe) one could eat chometz and say yale veyovo, some chassidim will purposely do it

Why wouldn’t you have לאידך גיסא, that since the Rebbe said he wouldn’t do it because he didn’t see the hanhaga, chassidim should purposely not do it?

Same reason Rabbi Tarfon would have deserved to be attacked by bandits while saying Shema.

Doing what everyone does, doesn't prove anything.

There are chassidim that take your view.
The counter argument is that רב כהנא also didn't use such a הדס, but since he held its kosher therefore רב אחא specifically used it.

Seems like the party line is that we don't do it.

So from where did you pick it up, on your own from that sicha?

From the Cliff Notes for Likutei Sichos, which are pretty great when you need to give 7 speeches in 10 days.

Now I see in the footnote. A bit surprising, if I see R' Avtzon I'll ask him if he knows whose idea it is

It's hardly obvious that כיון דנפיק trumps ללכת בדרכיו (or whatever term you want to use for that), much less when accompanied by expressed hesitation.

Most of the times the rebbe used כיון דנפיק (here he did not), it coincided with, not countered, הנהגת רבו"נ

In general, (ניט) געזען ביי'ם שווער was bordering on hora'a

(not to mention what @koplonko mentioned in the TR thread...)

Is the crisis today worse than when the T"T dealt with them?

Crisis is worse for Lubavitch because in addition to cases of withholding gittin, there are the cases when a spouse passes away and the other party maintains they're still alive

I was told that R' Zalman Shimon didn't tovel plastic
I believe most chasidim don’t toivel plastic. Someone just told me that in Lubavitch you do toivel. Is that correct? What’s the reason?

I don't believe there is a universal Chabad psak. It depends which Rov you ask.

What’s the reason?

Some types of plastic can be melted and reused/repaired which (arguably) gives them the same status as glass for the purpose of tevilas kelim
