The person quoted is a lubavicher, as a matter of fact he was the Rebbe's rov..
I believe most chasidim don’t toivel plastic. Someone just told me that in Lubavitch you do toivel. Is that correct? What’s the reason?
I don't believe there is a universal Chabad psak. It depends which Rov you ask.
Contrary to public belief, there is no Rov of lubavitch
he was the Rebbe's rov..
funny as I heard that he is the one who gave that psak ( just what I heard growing up )
Taking Rafi to NYC for his B"M in a few weeks on his birthday on Sunday and then his first aliya in the Rebbe's room on Monday. What's the protocol for things to do? I requested an aliya, but that's about it.
Back in my day, we had to use family connections to get it guaranteed. I can't imagine much has changed.
These days it's probably about the money
Maybe stop at the Ohel if you have time...
Yes, that's the plan for Sunday. Do I wear a Kapota on Sun or Mon? Do I try to do some sort of seuda there with random people there?

פע. This thread is titled ask a LUBAVITCHER anything! Since when do Lubavitchers ascribe to the term "random people"?
We are all random people, put in random places at random times to do a favor for another.
We are all a world of our own, helping other world's be better, and nothing what we do or where we go is random. Our choice's in those places or moment's, are בחירה.
it's good to be a Lubavitcher
Obviously nothing is random to the one above. But he is the one that directs us to seemingly random places and people.
