Can we merge with this?
https://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=121445.0

Noooo, you can split off the relevant discussion to merge it there (basically the entire thread), but the AMA is still a good thing for other future discussions.

Sorry, I can’t click the link to see which Rosh that is, but Rabbi Chaim Stein ztl who was a Rosh Yeshiva there was married to a Gezha

I didn't click. But there is only one "the Rosh".

I know Rabbi Stein had Lubavitcher relatives (R' Mottel Shusterman, R' Monye Schneur IINM) but I'm not sure if his wife was indeed Gezhe. Can anyone confirm?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Sorry, I can’t click the link to see which Rosh that is

The Rosh refers to Rabbi Ezra Schochet, rosh yeshiva of the Lubavitcher yeshiva in LA. He's the son of Rav Dov Yehuda Schochet, with deep family ties to Telz. He himself learnt in NY, BMG, and Brisk before coming to Lubavitch. The story goes that the Gedolei HaDor at the time in the Litvishe world were less than thrilled when he left. The Schochet family is known to be the yekkes of Lubavitch, having grown up in Switzerland and the Netherlands.

If it ever existed.

It's kinda like the sooper seekrit boards or the exclusive forum for 10k posters. The only ones who know if they exist won't tell you.

It's kinda like the sooper seekrit boards or the exclusive forum for 10k posters. Even if it's technically true, it's meaningless/insignficant.
