Gezhe say gezhe not gezha

Obviously. And definitely not Gheza.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

That’s not a Lakewood term...

Never heard it outside of Lakewood.

Depending on the accent :D

The word you’re thinking of is Gezer.

No, but what Gezhe and carrots have in common is that the good part of both is buried.

I'm reading this thread and thinking, "Is this how CountValentine feels when he's trying to read a thread about kriyas haTorah when Yom Tov falls out during the daled parshiyos?"

Oh, you're Lubavitch? Do you hear Avraham Fried davening for the amud in shul every day?

I know you’re joking but my dad davened Shachris with him for years, and (many years before that) I occasionally davened Friday night davening with him in what I think was the Skvere Shteibel on Kingston (that became R’ Levy OBM’s Shul / Mikvah Meir.

Avraham (or Avrem’l) Fried(man) the person, not the celebrity, is a geshmake, hartzike, eidel, humble, gentle, and soft-spoken yid.

In an interview in the Pesach issue of the Yated, Yochanon Donn asked Avraham Fried, "Are you gezah?"

And I was the educated one who was able to explain it to everyone in my family  :D

His answer? "No, we're Friedmans originally from Galicia, Bobover chassidim"?
