Frankly I'm very surprised that despite the aknowledgement at the end that the rebbe was against an eiruv, there is an initiative to put one up in CH.

The initiative came from people who don't accept authority and consider themselves smart.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Given that the Rebbe didn't just say no, as he wasn't afraid to do in many other cases, the onus is still on you to prove that the Rebbe was using a very rare usage of hyperbole to reject all of the eruvim when he replied to make them in secret in order to prevent the transgression of carrying on Shabbos without an eruv.

I really don't understand how you come up with this twisted terminology.

Kindly answer the questions I posed, so we can have an intelligent discussion.

15 year old comes to his father (in NY) and says: can I go to EY?

Father responds: You may go, but you can't travel by plane, train, ship, car or bus.

Did the father allow his son to go to EY? Did he say one thing but mean something else?

Were Lubavitchers involved in creating the current eruv?

There is no initiative to get one in CH, there is already one. It was made by people who very clearly said they are not following Lubavitch standards. The eiruv was not recognized by the CH beis din.

If there is any "initiative" now, it is to get the CH BD to change their minds. And yes, that is being done by Lubavitchers, and numerous respected rabonim have joined the fray, for some reason. I won't pretend to know all the ins and outs of either side's reasoning.

I came to the realization that maybe because Eiruvin was mesukan by Shlomo HaMelech's Bais Din, all intelligence is lost when Eiruvin is discussed to show the difference between the smartest man on earth and us.  :P

I'm glad CH has an eruv, now I can join the fun of using mevushal wine.

I know someone who only uses mevushal wine when his son is in the house, as this son uses the Boro Park eruv.

The analogy is garbage.

You're suggesting the Rebbe didn't no how to take a stand and say no?

Why are you refusing to answer my simple questions?

The Rebbe knows exactly what he's doing. He also says various things that we don't necessarily understand (just go to a certain locked thread for examples...). It is not for me to explain WHY the Rebbe posed it the way he did, but I have no doubt that the Rebbe knew when he said it to a Lubavitcher that it would be understood (and acted upon) as "don't erect an eiruv" or "don't get involved with the Melbourne eiruv".

And it is not me suggesting that the Rebbe doesn't know something, it is you who seem to think that you understand and know exactly what the Rebbe wants and thinks, and if it doesn't fit your logic, you just reject it.

A Chossid comes to The Rebbe (in NY) and says: can I go to EY?

The Rebbe responds: You may go, but you can't travel by plane, train, ship, car or bus.

A different Chossid goes to EY from NY without those methods. Additionally chassidim in Manhattan and Australia do the same.

Did the Rebbe allow the chossid to go to EY? Did he say one thing but mean something else?

Just changed it for accuracy's sake! At least it is now somewhat accurate of the reality anyway...
