Did anyone ever read other books by Herge? He has a small series about two kids of a professor and their pet monkey. Anyone familiar?

Yes, we had Mr. Pump’s Legacy, though I don't remember much about it. Guess it wasn't quite as compelling as Tintin.
The set of 7 (3 in each volume) is probably cheaper and more durable.
But they are all great!
I bought them all during quarantine, when Amazon had buy-2-get-1 sale, so I paid for 4 and got 6. (I had one from before)
+1 on the more durable part. The originals - both of Tintin and Asterix - I read growing up are mostly in terrible shape. At some point my father picked up some replacements, including at least some of the hardcover Asterix volumes (with multiple comics per volume). I can say my kids much prefer reading from the full size.
ETA: Apparently they make the full-size individual comics in hardcover, but I don't think there's a box set of that. The hardcover box set is with multiple comics per volume, and it's smaller than the originals
