Now if only someone gets this article to the Israeli truck drivers, we might be able to get milk and bread to the supermarkets even when it snows three inches.

Yes, the guy neglected to define snowstorm, and they think it means anytime you can see snow somewhere.

Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Yes. If you are referring to the section about light snow, you may not know what kind of snow we get in EY - it doesn't usually qualify even as that. I see the people trying to drive - if they had read the rest of the article, they would be fine, but they generally try to drive like everything is the same as usual.

Meh. Snow tires are incredible in the winter

Where do you keep your snow tires during the summer?

+1. Here in Toronto I'd say most people have.

The way I see it, it's not much of a cost if you keep your car long enough, as your tire wear per mile is going to be the same. I save the cost of changing them twice a year by doing it myself, which is very easy assuming you have your winter tires on rims. And the little cost for rims and tools is definitely worthwhile for the safety and convenience benefits.

Just make sure you swap them out in the warmer months.
I wonder how many do that any more.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

What happens if you don’t? Is it bad for gas mileage?

1) They're not as good for weather above freezing, especially wet.

2) They wear out quickly in warmer temps.

Don't do it. It affects everything like cornering, acceleration and most importantly braking.

Aquaplaning is another big problem.
