I think people are mostly pushing back against the inflammatory phrasing of the thread title (and OP's history pushing this narrative of *hyper*inflation)

I think he's right in saying that they actually WANT inflation.

How often in history were central bankers successful in achieving what they want?

There will be a reset at some point (I have no clue when. One can never under-estimate the can kicking abilities of politicians and central bankers), but I think it's more likely to be a big shock/shakeup than something persistent that will make that reset gradual (frog soup style).

Good stuff. Although her point on the child tax credit refunds missing from the 2021 returns isn't true since they only started paying out mid year and they essentially doubled the amount, most people should see the same / similar refund.

I think they where right, they just under estimated just how bad and long  this bottle neck would last. Pertly because how bad this administration is handling this issue.
