You must apply the seat coupon when you pay; it can't be applied after or to reservations on hold

Seat coupon is non-transferable, but any passenger booked in the same reservation as the coupon owner can use and redeem the owner's seat coupon
Can't be used if booked in Basic Economy
Void if bartered or sold
We may eliminate or restrict seat coupons on certain flights or make other changes without notice
Use of seat coupons for future American destinations is subject to approval
If a flight is canceled, we'll try to honor your seat coupon on another flight
We'll redeposit seat coupons into your account if we're unable to give you a comparable seat

That's probably because you aren't familiar with Tasker on Android.

I purchased and installed Tasker on a Pixel 3XL which I was/am planning to give to an older individual. That tool is simply an amazing, outstanding tool. That being said, I'm probably keeping my iPhone for now.

Agreed. Although to give credit where credit is due, apple shortcuts is currently better than any built in automation that I've seen. (Samsung routines is getting better)
