Are the cash prices really high for what you want that it makes it worth looking for saver awards?

If published is cheap, some award program redemptions are rev based (DL, WN, B6 (maybe more)) , or you can use CSR type points for 1.5 toward travel.

Cash prices are high. Rather looking for programs that aren't tied to the cash price. Is Avianca a good use ?

Is there chance that trip is not happening or will be moved? Need to keep in mind change & redeposit restrictions (/complications) when picking who to book with. Like it might be worth using a more expensive partner with easier flexibility.

Turkish possibly better redemption value for United flights. Avianca good too (especially if points are from their transfer or buying promos). Depending on how United classifies / charges that flight or date, maybe just use them.
Virgin Atlantic possibly for Delta.
American would likely be good for their own flights.

First need to see which programs have saver award space to know which partners to hunt down.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.
