Virgin Atlantic switched my flight and now I'm going to miss my connection

I was supposed to fly sunday night to JFK -TLV via LHR and virgin canceled the flight i was supposed to be on and put me on the next one landing 4 hours after my connection takes off. my Travel agent told me he can switch me to an earlier flight but then I will have a ridiculously long stopover in LHR. Any ideas?

If I do end up stuck with that stopover how do I get into a lounge in LHR terminal 2? I only have united club access and they don't have a lounge there:(

Priority pass has a lounge that is currently open in terminal 2

You might be able to get some $ depending on what credit card you used to purchase the flight.

after waiting 55 minutes to speak to a virgin rep, the rep told me all they can do is put me on the next flight monday morning and when i get to the gate I should ask for an upgrade.(fat chance of actually being upgraded). but at least the layover is only an hour and a half.

what else were you expecting them to do besides putting you on monday flight ? i had the same issue with a sunday in may [could be they adjusted their sunday schedule] and moved it to monday
