CO: http://onepass.topguest.com/
UA: http://mileageplus.topguest.com/

I know Topguest has been discussed in another DDF board with regards to hotels, but I did not see it mentioned for airlines (in fact, I do not see any mention of this CO/UA offer on Topguest's website).

The program information states you need to be within 2 miles of a participating airport, but I'm 7-9 miles from CLE and got CO confirmations for the past 3 days.

A limit of
....how many days you can check in?
....how far away you can be from an airport?

Instead of using your phone, go to m.foursquare.com on your computer. It will let you change your 'current' location, and then you can search near there. For example, I live in Lakewood. My cell phone wouldn't find EWR because I'm too far away. I went on my computer and set my location as Newark NJ, and then logged in  at nearby EWR!!!

You sure?  I've received a handful of confirmation e-mails over the last few days for CO but the points have yet to post to my OnePass account.

So am I the only one that does this for 50 miles every day?

nope, I do it almost every day for both myself and my wife.  I'm right near JFK so I do it when I pass by.
Before United/CO were added to topguest (thru this method) I used to check in to Hilton every day as I passed by a doubletree.  It got a decent amount of points but nothing to do with them.  I probably should have done a different one the hotels they have on topguest

the other topguest things work by mobile web checkin, for which i automated a macro. i have this on the macro but it doesn't seem to credit. either becuase i switched the associated email, or it needs app checkin.

When topguest first started I used to check in to multiple places every day and they shut me down.  Took me a few months to get them to reactivate my account.  Just a warning not to take advantage.

I do it as often as possible. I didn't realize there was a way to trick the system to where you are.

I don't trick anything, just checkin at the airport daily...25 miles away.

It works from that far away? Pretty cool. Those points add up! That's fun that you live close enough to do that.
Is Rafi earning points too everyday? :)

Wow I didn't realize you could search for places that weren't showing up. I just tried it with a Holiday Inn.
This is great.

Do the names on the foursquare account have to match the United account?

their main abuse check system is velocity; time between checkins relative to distance between locations. they warned me also, but since adding aproppriate wait times to the macro, no issue

no issuefor United? or for hotels?
United

No need for names to match. (Not that it's a  big deal to set up a dummy 4sq account....)
