Can the same thing be accomplished to enable/disable the built in shabbos mode? Or do you suggest to just use the system that detects when the door opens ?
It is far simpler to hook this up to just trick it to thinking the doors are always closed.
To get it to put the fridge to the built-in sabbath mode is more complex and I'm not sure is even possible on all models.
I know for my fridge (LG) the way to get into sabbath mode is by long pressing two buttons. Technically I can attach wires behind those buttons and automate that, I didn't try it yet, because if mess that up it's over $200 to replace the part.
(They also have an API which only allows me to see the status but not set the mode, super dumb)
