Smart Home Control Screen

Can anyone guide me in purchasing a Smart Home Control Screen or how to make one myself? I would like to install the screen on the wall connected to power and be able to control a Nest thermostat, a Wifi doorbell and Wifi Light switches.

I did find a light switch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C52PJH4 that does have a screen but it's integrated with the switch which I don't want and it has terrible reviews.

It depends what you've got running your home, of you've got home assistant then any tablet cam work.

I want to be able to control the Nest thermostat, a Wifi doorbell and many Wifi Light switches from this single screen. After lots of research, it doesn't seem like the technology is there yet unless I build it from scratch with a Raspberry Pi https://www.hackster.io/michael_zanetti/open-source-smart-home-with-touchscreen-control-panel-55e613.
The good news (hopefully), Amazon is rumored to be working on such a device https://www.techhive.com/article/3606731/amazon-next-echo-display-might-be-a-wall-mounted-control-panel.html. Only time will tell if and when this device will be released but I am looking forward.

I remember seeing a write-up of someone that mounted a fire tablet with a special cycling charger and added his own launcher to it. I don't remember at the moment what it was called.
