Based on what? Do you know, beyond a reasonable doubt, what killed George Floyd?

I did not follow all of the trial, and the information I did get was mostly from pro-defense sources. So while it seems to me that the right ruling would be not guilty, I cannot say with certainty that is the case.

Having said that, I think it is extremely unlikely that they come back with an acquittal on all charges. The would have to have been living under a rock this past year to not know the rioting that would follow. They also are almost certainly worried that their names will be leaked if they come back with a not guilty verdict and they know how the mob will react.

The scary part is that everyone understands that they will be taking the above into account, instead of focusing exclusively on the evidence presented in court. Basically we are living in a system of mob "justice."

I’ve heard jurors say otherwise. A pigs head & blood all over the (wrong) house was just for testifying in his defense. Anyone having a hand in his acquittal has a lot more to fear.

No, he had it right. If that's what happens to someone who testifies in his defense, imagine what happens to someone who serves on a jury that acquits him.

I think you assume most people are like you. It's very generous to give the benefit of the doubt, but I (and it seems many others here) have a lesser opinion of people's ability to remain uninfluenced by outside factors.

I mean that you pride yourself on looking at nothing but the facts and evidence presented, with no thought given to media coverage, social sentiment, or personal risks for giving a verdict others may not agree with.

I served on three (maybe four) juries. They look at the evidence. If they were scared to serve they would not be on the jury.
