Now I regret not booking a ticket a month... great way to visit friends and family regularly (and restock goods on the cheap...) for little money.  Also a pretty good path to high status.

I just got off the phone with American they said that since these are basic economy fares you cannot Order special meals. Sound kind of strange 12 hours and no kosher food?

They just don't take orders until you're within 30 days IIRC.

I was interviewed in Hebrew by Kan11 (כאן 11) about the fare and gave DansDeals a shout out :-)

It's supposed to air on the evening news, but I haven't seen any mention of the piece yet in a promo...

Tisot sodiot is huge here.  Nobody would know who/what DansDeals is, even if they had mentioned it.  I certainly saw it on DD Telegram well before it was on Tisot Sodiot and shared it with the Israeli frequent flyer/points/status WhatsApp group I belong to (which Yaniv also belongs to  :-X)
