I just got another appeal for the family of a wonderful man who died suddenly.
I'm so angry!
He was a low wage worker, so he obviously didn't prioritize life insurance.
But his family can't live without his income!
I'll give. Especially since the niftar is a friend of a friend, but it's another reminder of why life insurance is necessary.
Who are you angry at?
What will your anger do? Will it motivate anyone to take positive action?
You state that "He was a low wage worker, so he obviously didn't prioritize life insurance."
I am not sure how that statement makes sense. Low wage workers get life insurance to match their earnings potential, just like high earners. The low wage worker might be more limited in his coverage choices, but unless he is at risk of being evicted, life insurance should be a top priority as it protects the financial baseline.
That being said, we never know what other people's circumstances are. Some people are uninsurable. Some people need a little more pushing and hand-holding in making decisions.
