He edited my post to say we have a problem with people listening to the police, as if that would somehow explain or justify the reactions from the police. There are plenty of instances where people in our communities ignore or argue with cops. Thank G-d the results are never violent, but his edit seemed to suggest the cops would be justified if they were violent, by virtue of people not "following basic orders from police." That conclusion is as ridiculous as my post made it sound.

I don't know how many cops you've met or interacted with, but the vast majority of them are not lions. Most violent reactions from police come from a place of fear, not power.

I don't know what country your from, I'm talking from my experience in Israel. Maybe in other places this is different or less pronounced.
