Akuvox Intercoms/Doorbell

Does anyone have experience using these, it seems like a lot of the Low voltage guys are pushing this for intercom installations.

As it's a Chinese company I'm looking to hear some feedback on it's reliability, ease of use....

I use it at work. I ran into couple of small issues (never determined if it was fault of Akuvox or something else)but overall reliable. I only use it as a simple SIP doorbell without any advanced features, but had no trouble getting it set up. Happy to answer any specific questions you may have.

Worked with them several times.

They are real value (the devices are nice and feature rich), but not as stable (have had them crashing or acting up in other ways) as the (very) expensive competitors.

And the good thing is that Akuvox is at least trying to improve, they're constantly updating/fixing and are not bad in support.

2N, Aiphone, DoorBird, Algo, and some others are not Chinese.

Have at home and at work. Both fairly complicated setups with occasional issues, but overall reliable

These seem to be more feature rich at a much better price point

As a low voltage guy,  installing a few dozens Akuvox I can vouch that they give no trouble at all, which is the reason why you  almost will never have to call back your low voltage guy to fix something with the Akuvox, that is the reason why many low voltage guys are pushing Akuvox the product is very user friendly,  very  simple for non technical people, a very smooth product that does almost everything.

1) As the screen is compatible with hikvision cams (I'll have 7) I'm debating whether it's nesasary to get a standalone monitor for the cams as was recommended to me instead of displaying them on the akuvox screen

2) is there any difference between the 7" & 10" screens besides for the size, and any idea on pricing

3) regarding doorbells, is there any lag to the app

7 Cams on an Akuvox screen will be  a tiny output.

To my knowledge there is no difference between 7" and 10" screens.

No lag from door bell to the app unless you have a bad internet connection on the app side.

I would not reccomend running the app on the screen all the time to view the cameras..
It will build up a delay after a few hours..
The same is with almost any tablet out there.
Also the resolution and the compression method that is used primarily on most camera systems are h265 and will slow down the unit as well.
They do have a new unit x933 with a stronger processor but I still reccomend getting a seprate security monitor if you want it on all the time.
As a communication system on the akuvox platform it is really awesome, some installers know better than others how to customize and program it.
