I'd rather have a nutcase that is somewhat predictable and mostly delivered where POTUS matters most (SCOTUS and other nominations) than a senile person who is mostly handled and controlled by arrogant, globalist, Bolshevik "progressives".

The only way my opinion might count is by discussing with my SIL who is registered to vote in PA.

Correct, but he is talking about the elections. Unfortunately, the US in particular has a very uneducated voter base.

I might have misunderstood. I understood your post to mean that election are won and lost over the economy, not over any specific political affiliations.

You understood correct. If the voters believe the economy is doing good, then Biden is reelected. They (I's) won't care if he is D or R.

I don't think "they" are necessarily I's (unless you mean independent thinkers). While I generally agree, I think there are too many other things at play here (some rightfully perceived as affecting the economy - such as immigration/southern border), not the least of which is age and mental capacity.

It easy for individuals to convince themselves to look past just about anything. One thing that is extremely hard is their pocketbook.

It's only a handful of states that matter. And economic conditions might vary from state to state. In border states immigration and border could be very important to people and those are perceived as having a significant effect on the economy.

Time will tell what the October surprise will be.
