(1) on the whole the Republican stance is predicated on religion and emotions like hate and fear so tends to make less sense ((2)indeed their voters are drastically less talented/capable/accomplished by almost any metric used).
Do you have any data showing anything on points 1 & 2?
For (1), I'm not denying that there's some of that there, but in my experience, it's less on the right and more on the left.
For 2...can you give me examples of a few such metrics?
