“People lost the color in their faces,” said Zohar. “I was under the bleachers, I tried to go up toward all the chaos when I heard banging above, thud, thud, and people shouting ‘escape, escape, people are dying.'”

he was a special guy with a beautiful voice, I’ve spent a holy shabbos with him in צפת years ago before he gave out his cd, and me being a בחור was high that he gave me to listen from his cd that was about to come out. He gave up singing when noticed how much it takes away from his kids.

I noticed that too but I highly doubt it. His upper part of his body is free and after what it may looked like he's fainting, he's raising his head again.

My brother was at Meron. B'h got through to him right away. It's crazy how lost he was, since there was no service on top of the mountain. He said he saw them carrying bodies past him. He had no idea what happened until I explained it. He didn't get back to Jerusalem until about 7:30am. I hope he'll be able comprehend what he had witnessed without difficulties.

My brother is still in shock. He was trapped in the stampede and witnessed people around him losing consciousness. He saw some terrible things. But he kept telling me the police trapped the crowd. I’m seeing other people are posting the same thing. The police kept people bottled in there and it’s terribly sad!!!

I'm not sure if the speed at which מח"ש got involved is a good thing (they realize there are huge questions about police actions) or a bad thing (they want to blame a few people for something they know might have come from higher up). I have personally been in similar situation where people piled up because of a blockage, I have also been in that specific area many times, never have I ever seen police blocking that exit or any similar area in this kind of way. From. The videos it seems there were literally people piled up 3-4 bodies high and the police were just standing there with folded arms. Either there was major negligence bordering on malicious intent, or there a key piece of information missing (I really hope it runs out to be that).

You think in a situation like this they would have 30 defibs on hand in time? It's dark, at night, noisy, packed with people, and the whole thing happened in a very tight area with thousands still crowded around.

The original guy deleted his Post, but just to add there is a well practiced Mass Casualty Incident protocol, and it includes not starting resus until first triage is complete.
