Tradeoffs between using GCs at amazon and the benefits offered by CCs

I know some people use Amazon GCs bought from office supply stores to get the 5x, but i personally value the protections and insurance offered by my Amex Plat. curious if anyone else feels this way?

Depends on the item; do you really need protection and insurance on diapers? ;)
