CHI / NYC-TLV
« on: May 07, 2021, 11:53:11 AM »
Looking for a mileage ticket to going to use in August and rates are ridiculously high IMO.

Am willing to leave from Chicago or NYC, either on 8/21 or 8/22. Stopovers are ok within reason.

Suggestions or ideas? Have miles with Amex, Capital one, Citi, UR, AA, United, Delta.

Edit: was aware of the United 20k sale but no availability on either 8/21 or 8/22.

There are flights from Chicago for $700.
Why would you want to spend 80,000 miles or more plus taxes for a round trip in economy?
Sell your miles and you will come out ahead.

Actually looking for 1 way, and don’t see flights on day needed +/- 1 for less then $485. This works out to 1 cent per mile as united wants around 46,800

Can anyone suggest ideas in booking such a award flight? I doNot care which airline it’s with.

Am sure there are smarter ways to use my miles in booking a ticket rather then doing it like “normal” people. For example, transferring citi TY points to turkish airlines to book on United (Hawaii) rather then using united miles to book on United.

United is charging 47,000 for OW tickets, AA is charging even more, while delta is 37,500.
