It’s hard to pinpoint precise cause and effect but broadly speaking it started by Israeli police cordoning off a section of Shaar Shechem which precipitated riots which spiraled into TikTok terror, Jewish thug violence, more tension, police restricting Arab entry to the Temple Mount, riots in Jaffa following a failed lynch, riots in East Jerusalem related to complex real estate litigation that has Jewish owners pre 1948 evicting Arab residents since (whereas Arabs who owned property before 1948 and deserted it aren’t legally able to reclaim)

And the world giving cover to the Palestinians to claim that Israel is stealing land from them when the truth is exactly opposite.

Unless you go back 1000s of years, it is unequivocally true that Jews seized control of Palestinian property much more than they did.

In 1930 there were ~150k Jews in Israel. Today there are 7-8m.

The issue in East Jeruslam is more complex. It’s true that Jews owned the land pre 1948, but Israeli law doesn’t allow Arab owners to reclaim land they owned and deserted in 1948 (חוק נכסי נפקדים), and if Jewish owners pre 1948 were classified the same way, the property in East Jerusalem would belong to the Arabs who live there since 1948, in some cases it’s the same family.

If you recognize pre-1948 ownership, most of Rechavia, Telbia, & other Jewish neighborhoods would be claimed by their legitimate Arab owners who deserted on 1948

Land and borders have been seized all over the world throughout history. And borders have been drawn by armed conflict.

The problem in Israel is the appeasement mentality. When they won wars, rather than seeking to appease, they should have immediately acted like the US did when they won the Mexican war.
