They don’t have the entire country covered with Iron Dome. They move them around according to threat assessments, and it’s hard to fault them for not predicting this - I don’t think Hamas ever attacked Jlem before.

If Jewish owners pre 1948 were classified the same way, the property in East Jerusalem would belong to the Arabs who live there since 1948, in some cases it’s the same family.

If you recognize pre-1948 ownership, most of Rechavia, Telbia, & other Jewish neighborhoods would be claimed by their legitimate Arab owners who deserted on 1948

The idea that the victims of a war should be treated the same way as the aggressors (or their supporters) is not one that would be said, let alone taken seriously, in any other context.

Also, you are conflating individual ownership with political control which are two very different considerations.

Why do the Israelis allow the Arabs to escalate? If the Arabs lift a finger, clamp down right away. It's as if the Israelis never learn their lesson.
