We can and should be able to hold multiple truths in mind and discuss multiple ideas at the same time. That's why me finding videos of Jewish Israelis destroying Arab owned stores or lynching Arab Israelis "stomach churning" has nothing at all to do with my feelings towards Hamas rockets, or Arab lynchings of Jews, etc. This is a basic concept which is often missed by many. If I find the actions of an individual or group of Jews objectionable, that doesn't make me a "self-hating Jew". Likewise, if I object to a person's troll-like posts on the internet, that doesn't mean I think he is as bad as the guy firing rockets into Israel.

You will and have called out the wrongs you have seen. That is not the case for many here. Their views are 100% one-sided.

That's right, and we should always condemn anyone who crosses that line. While we unfortunately don't have the power to guarantee that no individual will stoop to that level, we can guarantee that we will never look favorably upon it. And that will remain a key difference no matter how many times those incidents are held up to vilify us.

We did lynch people. More than one. This week. If our teens are pissed (and it's unfortunately not just teens or even mainly teens) and they think it's ok to find Arabs to beat up, that's 100% on us. They are OUR kids. WE raised them. If your last line was true, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Regarding timing, I haven’t seen it suggested but maybe part of why Hamas is doing this now is because Israel is one of the few countries in the western world where COVID is under control and stands to gain a lot from tourism over the next few months and beyond, and Hamas is trying to stick it to Israel in that regard?
