I didn’t justify it (I posted the original tweet criticizing it), but I also don’t justify settler Israelis when they expose their kids to significant mental and physical risks for the sake of a disputed religious objective.

Interesting that many feel no innocent women and children are being killed. Every women and child that is killed is not a terrorist or part of Hamas.

On Israel's side it easy as all the civilians killed are innocent. On the Palestine side it is much harder but only a fool would believe none of them are innocent.

Under international law, the responsibility for the deaths of civilians used as human shields or killed in attacks on military targets placed in residential areas are the responsibility of the one who caused them to be in harm's way and not the attacker.

Sending in troops means death to troops. No one wants that, they would rather avoid that if possible.
