i was walking near my house and a car pulled up asking for directions, which i gladly gave and then afterwards asked me will you say free palestine and which point i walked away not interested in further engaging as they continued to call after me with antisemitic slurs
this has been happening apparently all over Los Angeles

I understand why you feel @PlatinumGuy needs to read this stuff but not why you feel that way about @CountValentine whose posts here have been very reasonable and understandable. Just because he does not hear the same thing in the word restraint as many here (myself included) do doesn't mean he is justifying Hamas.

I am sure there were, but there is no way at all of knowing the true number or even to estimate a percentage.

I would say it's incredible if that was the case, but it's incredible even if there were 200 civilians killed and not more, which Hamas claims, and we know it's not even close to that number, because a big percentage are Hamas terrorists, and an unknown percentage are killed directly from Hamas rockets.

What I'm saying is that if people put pressure on Israel to show "restraint" that encourages Hamas to continue their tactics of endangering their own civilians and to continue to fire rockets at  the civilians in Israel, as they are able to act with impunity because they know Israel's hands are tied.

That is why we abhor the word restraint when it comes to Israel striking back at terrorists, and why we feel the people using it in reality hate Israel and would prefer for it and its people not to exist.

We know that you don't feel that "restraint" is being used that way, but that's what the facts are.

Knowing Hamas' modus operandi, it is highly likely that deaths of civilians are highly overstated. I agree that I would not have written that line but rather that the number is highly overstated and the rest comprised mostly of terrorists and from rockets not make it over the border, but the rest of the article still stands.
