I am asking what the goal posts are? You have someone base it on net. Then he says some imports you don't count or matter. So you try and call me out when his posts never stopped moving. I expect it though.
You are using bullposts when it is convenient for you and then moving them in the same posts. He is going entirely by policies.

Keystone would not be independence, but any dependence we may have is much better off being from an ally than from an adversary. Do you actually disagree with that?

So last year (2021) we were a net exporter under Biden?

Yes. He gets credit for keeping the status quo for now.

Watch carefully how I answer a question. If you can't answer the same way it just shows how your post are pure BS!
YES, being dependent on a current ally is better than being dependent on a current enemy. Being dependent on either is still being dependent. Excluding either from the calculation is moving the goalpost.

He is moving the goalpost on pure politics. The same way both of you would not answer the question because it doesn't support your moving goalposts!!!

Now her is a simple question. What goalposts are you all using for energy independence?

Yes. He gets credit for keeping the status quo for now.
See how easy that was? So we have been energy dependent for his first year and the way things are going I expect the same for the second year.

Now the last admin gets credit for keeping the downward trend from the BO admin. Not as good as BO but the trend did go down.

I consider independence to be not needing foriegn oil. We are not there yet. Why not? If we are net exporters then why do we need to import? Why do we import if we have enough domestically?

The answer is pipeline capacity and refinery capacity for different types of crude.

Pipelines are mostly federal jurisdiction and refineries mostly state. Most fracking is state most drilling is federal.

I have no problem with that. I think you would agree "energy independent" doesn't mean just oil?

And somehow that just happened to have occurred in 2020 Q2. Who could have predicted that cliff?

It's a global supply market, it doesn't really matter if imports come from SA or Russia. What matters is the total volume of foreign imports.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

The guy wasn't trying to make an honest argument anyhow. He didn't even try to make look as if he was.

Goalposts just moved again. I thought it mattered where it came from like Canada?

I didn't see any facts there at all. That was only opinion.

Let me ask it another way then.
True or false - Trump increased Russian oil imports by 49%...
True or false - ...while American oil production had its biggest drop in history.

Up for discussion. What did he do to increase it?

Lets try a different way. Did imports go up 49% from Russia under last admin. I didn't check into it.
