It doesn't seem we are no where near entirely there.
Also why no talk of nuclear? Is that more taboo than oil/coal?
We aren't anywhere near entirely there. Look at this screenshot I just took of the PJM fuel mix (PJM is the power grid for NJ, PA, OH, DE, MD, VA, WV, and parts of some other states). Even now when the load is relatively low we have 60% coming from coal and NG. Other than nuclear, renewables barely make a dent.
