He's saying that the only people who wouldn't buy an EV due to lack of hotels chargers are people who normally make cross-country trips while stopping at a hotel. Since that only constitutes a minority of cars owners, it doesn't have much of an effect on EV adoption.

Now if you believe that is a perception (I don't) on their part then it is up to the industry to change that.

They're working on it, but it doesn't matter until the supply constraints are resolved. I don't think that will happen for it least a few more years. It will take a few years until it reaches 23% market share - the current percentage of drivers already considering an EV as their next car.

None were interested in chargers regardless of the subsidies until one thing happened. The only thing which made them interested was when prospective tenants started asking about them. Then they were all over it.

They keep updating their projections as reality beats the forcasts.
Look at the chart, new technology never gets adopted so linear, it always follows an S curve and we're getting close to the point where it goes nearly straight up.

More like government foots the bill or make the subsidies extremely high.
30k subsidy on a 200k investment you won't make back for 20 years will not cut it.

You are now getting out the pretzels. The fact is the two top reasons for not buying EV's is price and charging. It is not because they are not available. Don't try and twist the facts from your own article.
