It is.

Trump actually got the Saudis to cut production by threatening to remove US troops

And it was the right thing to do, as we discussed extensively in this thread, but instead you decide to use it for a political attack. If the whole US oil industry would've gone bust because of negative oil prices we would be in a worse position now.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

The US having the ability to keep global oil prices down is a good thing, and it's something we're missing now. I'm not sure why it's relevant if a lot of the oil is sold to China, if we don't sell to China they will get from Iran and Russia. Additionally, if needed the DPA can be used to keep US produced oil in the US.

Regarding "renewables", it's been discussed at length in this thread. We are still quite far from renewables generating anywhere near the amount of energy needed, and batteries are a long ways away from being able to handle the intermittency of renewables. The push for renewables and the (Russian funded) fight against the "fossil fuels industry" in the US and even more so in Europe is directly responsible for this mess that left much of Europe so heavily reliant on Russia. Even the countries like the baltics that were able to stop importing NG from Russia are essentially just changing the supply chain so a different country (likely China) is left buying Russian LNG.

But 95%+ of the natural gas remains in North America

This, of course, ignores why it is that we export so much and import to compensate for it.

THis is pretty similar to the current system to track who "uses" renewables. Legally, the person with solar panels is not considered to be the one using the renewable energy it produces, but rather whoever purchases the REC from them.

Yeah so are they.
::)
The point is there’s a good chance Trump is the 47th President, why wouldn’t someone discuss him now?

There are some vehicles that do. I think some NYC buses and the NJNG vehicles run on NG.

But it is not practical on a mass scale at this time. They need compressed NG IIRC.

Sounds right. The biggest limitation is fueling infrastructure. The 2 vehicles I mentioned always refuel at the same place, so they can convert the entire fleet with just 1 fueling station.
