Curious who these workers are. Are they local workers in the shul there or are they outside company who deal with bleachers ?

Criminal negligence doesn’t require intent, and Israel has some of the most severe punishment in the West for negligent homicides. It is such blatant disregard of safety that the prosecution is likely to ask for manslaughter charges, as they sometimes do with drunk drivers, and carry a maximum of 20 years.

Families asking not to involve the state will only aggravate the sentencing judge further.

The video shows the entire section dropping at the same time.  Not one tie breaking, then another etc.

IIRC the Versailles hall collapse, which caused 23 deaths, the longest prison sentence handed down was 4 years. I wouldn’t call that very severe. Unless you’re saying the Givat Zev region takes it more serious than wherever that hall was.
I was referring more that the families (or attorneys) won’t be out there yelling & putting pressure to charge someone.

The entire thing buckled & collapsed a minute into the dancing. Those last 5-6 layers were a last minute addition & weren’t as sturdy as the regular bleachers which didn’t move.

Was still being reinforced after it started. It started shaking a couple of minutes before the collapse, and a few people ran to tell the music to stop and tell everyone to get off because it's not sturdy enough. But they got there a minute too late... (the band was on a different level)

I heard first hand from people who were on there minutes before it collapsed that it felt really unstable and went down to the lower section (seems like there were 8 row from the lower, and 8 higher which collapsed)

All the district courts in Israel are similar. The negligence here is much greater than in Versailles hall. Drunk drivers routinely get ~10 years when they kill people.

Putting hundreds of people on a makeshift platform held together by zip ties without any professional construction or oversight, not to mention the entire place didn’t have a certificate of occupancy

I walked under the bleachers about 3 minutes before it collapsed. They weren't shaking at the time. I believe it started shaking when they started dancing. I would estimate we were dancing for about 2 minutes when it collapsed.
