Did you file an amended return?
good point! I did. It was just a small change that we made.

Unfortunately they're holding all CTC advances for unprocessed amended returns.

Only that "it'll take more than one month after your amended return is processed for CTC payments to commence".

Ah so we're already there then (technically). Guess I will be patient! Do you know if they will catch up when they start, or if the missed payments will be processed at the end of the year?

Thanks so much for the info.

Any missed payments will be reconciled on the return- as of now there's no catchup system in place.

One thing I've learned over the last 15 months of stimulus and other programs is that the media rarely gets the numbers right. For that, you need to come to DDF.

Also potentially impacting job growth was the start of the Child Tax Credit, which sent up to $1,800 per child per month to about 36 million American families. Economists are still assessing the impact the payments have had on the labor market.

Likely a typo. As it is total of $1800 per child.

I'd like to think so, but the only explanation I can come with for including it in the article as a factor contributing to slow job growth is that the author fundamentally misunderstood the tax credit. Regardless, the point was DDF is awesome and don't trust the media.  :)

14th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, or 30th would be my best guess. Had he posted this 2 weeks ago, we could've been left with even more options.

Last month payment posted to my account on the 12th. This month it hasn't posted yet!
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Got a crazy amount today. The deposit says TAXEIP. Any clue what that means and what the money is for?
